I’m new to whitewater and after researching different brands, I chose the Rage for my first paddle as I will do mostly creeking and wanted a big blade. Really glad I did. The grips are very comfortable and don’t slip. I like it cuz I know exactly where my paddle blade is on the water.

I bought the Rage because of the grips. I had never used one before but have used a lot of wrap on my last paddle in the grip area, so I figured to give this a try. They are spaced perfect for me and give me a lot of confidence on the water. I’m very happy with my purchase.

I bought this paddle because of the grips and I needed a longer paddle. They are a game changer for people who struggle to roll with paddles that don't have noticeable grip areas. Your hands don't slip and you know exactly where your paddle blades are. I really hope MEC gets the Fibreglass version with the carbon shaft. I'd get that as an upgrade for a stiffer more high performance option.
